I’ve learned the importance of being intentional in every conversation. That the amount of care and attention in a conversation can bring about many opportunities. That asking more questions then just a walk by and a how are you? Getting to listen to listen and not listen to respond. Understanding that people aren’t as intimidating as they might come off to be. I’ve learned what a difference it can make not passing through the motions but looking people in the eyes, remembering the waitresses name, inviting people who were acquaintances on spontaneous trips that turn them into your now best friends. Be intentional. You never know the door it’ll open, the Friendships that will bloom, the connections that take place and the wild adventures you’ll take on. If only we just asked people more than just “how are you?” And if only we responded with more than “good.”
